How large can a Splashback be?

At Millennium Glass we often get asked about the size of splashbacks, especially in kitchens and bathrooms.

A splashback is a stylish and practical feature that protects your walls from water and stains while enhancing the overall look of your space.

In kitchens, splashbacks typically range from about 60 cm to 75 cm in height. This height allows for effective protection against splashes from the sink and cooking areas while fitting nicely under upper cabinets.

However, many homeowners choose to extend their splashbacks to a taller height—up to 90 cm or more—especially if they want a modern, streamlined look.

In bathrooms, splashbacks can be even taller. It’s common to see them rise to 1.2 metres or even go all the way to the ceiling, particularly behind vanities and sinks.

This not only protects the wall from water damage but also creates a spacious, open feel in the room.

Some designs feature full-height glass panels, which can make a small bathroom feel larger and more luxurious.

When it comes to width, splashbacks usually span the entire length of the countertop or vanity, ensuring a cohesive and finished appearance.

How large can a splashback be?

The size of a splashback can vary based on your design preferences and the specific requirements of your space.

Whether you opt for a standard height or a more dramatic full-height installation, our team is here to help you choose the perfect solution that combines functionality with style.

Let us help you create a stunning splashback that enhances your kitchen or bathroom!
